MOTUA SANGITE
The word Matua means ‘submerged’ in the name of lord Hari’ or ‘in devotion and attachments to Lord Hari'(choudhuri 2001,62). Mauta is a community. The people in this community arduously practice songs in the praises of Lord Hari and this song style is known as Matuageet.
